Little Hannah

by Laurence Kingston

/

about

I never could sing this well enough so I just left it as an instrumental.

lyrics

Little Hannah goes off to school each morning
with her books her bag and maybe
one hidden toy to play with
With her, she takes all the love I can give her
but today she even took the sunshine

Do I miss her, I admit I like the quiet
sometimes up in heaven harps are resting in cases
today, it's so quiet that I can hear
the quartz clock ticking seconds in her bedroom

Counting down the minutes 'till she gets home
she storms home, and every space around her
is filled with the sound of her voice

sometimes it is laughter, sometimes yelling or crying, or telling a story of the things she learned in school that day ...
